Hamilton Senior High School is an innovative and inclusive public school with 49 years experience in educating our students to achieve their personal goals.

We treasure well established educational traditions set by past teachers, parents and students and are passionate in our desire to prepare our current students for the 21st Century. We know where we are going and how to get there. The school places great emphasis on its people.

Since the 1970s Hamilton’s internationally renowned Sub School system has provided individual care and support for students. It is of great importance to us to identify each student’s individual skills, talents and interests and to nurture in them the self-confidence to pursue their studies with enthusiasm and focus Our staff is central to the quality of all the programs we provide. Working hand in hand with our local Universities we place great emphasis on attracting and retaining the best practitioners to our school, and then supporting them so they can deliver the best possible service to our school community.

Hamilton teachers uphold a tradition of excellence reflected in a broad and progressive curriculum. Students are provided with quality vocational and tertiary bound pathways. An Education Support Unit caters for special needs students, the Follow the Dream Program provide excellent support for Aboriginal students, while the Academic Extension, Music and Approved Specialist Program in Information Technology all challenge gifted students to achieve their best at the school.

As a school that focuses on creating champions, all Hamilton students participate in a range of rich curricular and extra-curricular programs. We see Hamilton’s educational provision as being a team activity where a student’s family is very much a part of the team. We welcome parents and care givers into our school and continually strive to enhance the quality of our communication with families. We value the opportunity to show visitors over the school and would be delighted to talk with you about your child and our school.
